Summary Of Worship Leader Search (as of 4/3/2019)
The Worship Team Leader Search Committee from MERCYhouse has met several times for prayer and to put on the table avenues in continuing our search as we wait on God's timing.
We have had conversations with a couple people who have interest in the position and conversations are still in process of any next steps. MERCYhouse has also heard of a Worship Consulting Organization that helps out churches looking to fill positions like this that we will see if their input would be beneficial in our situation. The committee is additionally going to connect with local churches and the Baptist Convention of New England to see if there are any leads on recommendations as well.
It is likely that MERCYhouse won't have a new worship team leader installed by the time the Palazzi's leave at the end of June. We have talked with our current band leader members of MERCYhouse and they are willing to continue to lead the worship team with other church members on an interim basis over the summer as needed.
The committee asks for your prayers in this search process: for God's wisdom, discernment, clarity and understanding. Both for our community here at MERCYhouse and for any who are applying for the Worship Leader Position. We are confident the Lord will answer these prayers as we seek Him first and wait on how He will add to the family at MERCYhouse to foster growth and maturity in being, making and multiplying disciples for Christ in the Pioneer Valley.

MERCYhouse relies heavily on young leaders who are just getting started in Christian ministry. We also take seriously the privilege it is to invest in leaders who will go on to make a significant impact in the kingdom of God whether locally or beyond our ministry context.
We currently have two types of internships available:
This internship is for graduating seniors who desire to spend their senior year of college spending concentrated time serving in the church and on the mission of reaching students on their campus. It is unpaid but will include training times and regular opportunities for mentorship. Interns will be involved in serving both inside the church and will be involved in reaching and shepherding students. Number of hours per week would be determined based on availability of student but will be at least 10/wk.
Post-Graduate (or non-college) Intern
This internship is for those who have graduated from college (or don't plan to attend college). These interns will be serving for a minimum 0f 20 hours/wk and will also be holding down a part-time (no more than 20 hr/wk) job. Responsibilities will include both ministry inside the church and on area campuses.
